It's your body and if you want whats best for your baby, you should talk to your OB/GYN and demand that they check you before you go into labor b
ecause once your water breaks and if you have shedding, the baby will still be at risk getting it through C-Section. Better being safe than sorry. If you have an outbreak after you aqre 36 weeks, you will have no choice but to get a C-Section because again, your LO will be at higher risk of getting it. So whether you have the baby at 38, 39 or 40 weeks, if you have an outbreak, it take almost 3 weeks for it to clear with shedding.Pregnancy: 3rd TrimesterImportant
